There’s a nip in the air. Early morning excursions for walkers require slightly bulkier clothing, and in homes and churches the familiar strains of carols are beginning to herald the fact: Christmas is here again. It’s that time of the year when Christmas trees come out of hibernation, decorations are put out and floral wreaths breathe fresh air once again.

We began our thanksgiving children's service with worship, lifting up the name of Jesus and declaring His faithfulness, awesomeness and goodness in our lives.
Ah! Thanksgiving. All over the world celebrated so differently and yet with the same intent—to thank God for His faithfulness and provision in our lives. In the U.S. it’s symbolized in turkey and dressing, mashed potatoes and biscuits with cranberry sauce in the midst of families and loved ones. In India grain and wheat and produce symbolize the first fruits of thankful hearts. Sometimes, however, our need to be thankful hinges on how well things are going for us; how well life is treating us.
