1) When you think about the Gospel of Jesus Christ what is the attraction to it?
2) Why do you think it is easier to talk about the love of God as opposed to discussing the wrath of God?
3) READ John 3:36 "He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." – What other word in this passage is being used to mean “believes”? Why is obedience the key to recognize the one who truly believes?
4) John Stott said that the Wrath of God was the Wrath of Abandonment. READ Exodus 33:1-4 – What is in this passage which the people of Israel recognized to be the Wrath of God, even when they were going to get the Promised Land?
5) If God had promised to give us a tract of good land which we would benefit from and that of our children and children’s children would benefit from and that He was sending an angel to make sure that no one could take this land from us and that we would receive a lifetime of food and yet He would not be with us because of our sinfulness, would we receive this word as the Israelites did? Would we even recognize this word as receiving God’s wrath as opposed to His blessing?

7) READ Romans 5:8-11 – As you read this passage, what was our position in relation to God before we received Christ Jesus?
8) If we receive God’s wrath, which is abandonment, by rejecting Christ, what do we receive in the passage in Romans 5:8-11 by accepting Christ Jesus?
