- Read Mark 10: 46-52. Luke 18: 35-42 Discuss the main high points in the passage. From the place in life whereBartimaeus initially was: to the point where he regained his sight & followed Jesus praising Him, what salient points emerges from the passage that brought him his breakthrough?
· Bartimaeus had faith in Jesus
· In his limitations he did all he could to get the attention of Jesus
· He put his faith on line, there was no turning back.
· He was not intimidated by the people around him.
· He clearly knew his core need & brought it out before the Lord
· He praised & followed Jesus
- What are the challenges that we need to overcome in order to see our miracle through? How do we approach & respond to God in times of need?
- “Your Faith has healed you” How do we define the word ‘faith’? Ask the group to share their understanding on it.

- Bartimaeus was undeterred by the people around him. The same crowd that rebuked Bartimaeus, later encouraged him. Do we some times get accommodative or adjusted to the surrounding? Are we able to worship the Lord in the same way irrespective of the place / people around us? Why do you think so?
- Why do you think Jesus asked Bartimaeus about his need even when it seemed so obvious? Ask the group to share. Why do we miss or neglect at times bringing the real issue of our life before Jesus?
- Are there things in our life that we need to regain which could have been lost down the line? What could be those areas? What could be the reasons? Possible Answers:
· Zeal or excitement to serve the Lord
· True Joy & peace
· The time we spend with the lord.
· To share Jesus with others
· Joy in fellowship
· others
- Pray in faith to the Holy Spirit to reveal those areas which we need to bring before the Lord. Ask for strength & renewed courage where we may be failing, to be vulnerable in order to receive from him. Ask for needs within the group, and close in prayer.
