Our Inspiration

Matthew 22:37
JESUS said  “LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, WITH ALL YOUR SOUL AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.”

Matthew 22:39
And the second “LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.”

Our Vision Statement

THE LOVE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST COMPELS US AT CAP TO REACH OUT, TOUCH, HELP REBUILD THE LIVES OF HIV INFECTED & AFFECTED INDIVIDUALS.  FACILITATING TRANSFORMATION THROUGH CARE & SUPPORT IN LINE WITH SCRIPTURE.

Rev. Dr. Cecil Clements (Founder Pastor & Managing Trustee) of CAP (The Church At Powai) initiated the CAP CARE project in Dec. 2003.
On World AIDS Day, 2003 after Sunday Service, an AIDS Awareness brief was given to CAP members.  CAP’s response was monetary donations, meeting up and praying with the CARE members.

Current CAP CARE Project Team :
Founder & Spiritual Head – Rev. Dr. Cecil Clements, Professional Christian Counsellor – Sheila Clements, Facilitator – Shantha Tucker, Volunteer – Flavia Pais. CAP members – prayer and monetary support.

Dec. 2003 CAP CARE started out with 10 HIV infected and affected families and have to date, reached out to 36 families. As the 10 families identified during the initiation of the project (2003) belonged to various areas across Mumbai no single target area has been adopted. CAP CARE project addresses the needs of entire families and the association is life long.

Our goal is to motivate CAP members participate in the CARE programs, interact, reach out and walk alongside the CARE members.
CARE members through CAP CARE would feel accepted and integrated into society, would lead transformed lives.

Project Activities are:

  • Regular follow up through home visits covering all CARE members

  • Monthly Support Group Meetings.

  • Care & Support through economic, medical & education support..

  • Spiritual guidance - sharing God’s word and praying.

  • Christian Counselling

  • Networking with NGOs/Government Hospitals

  • Annual activities – Christmas party, Picnic
